MOBILE APPS

Mobile apps your team and customers actually open

Most business apps get installed once and forgotten. The ones that survive solve a problem the user has every single day — and work on a weak network. That is what we build.

Being honest

Most MSMEs do not need a customer app. Some badly need a staff app.

There is a reflex among growing businesses to want a customer-facing app, usually after seeing a competitor launch one. In most cases it is the wrong investment. Your customers will not install an app they open twice a year, and a good mobile website does the same job with no download and no app-store maintenance.

Where apps genuinely change a business is internal — for people who work away from a desk. A delivery driver, a service technician, a collection agent, a floor supervisor, a salesperson visiting dealers. These people use the app dozens of times a day, need it to work with one hand in bad network conditions, and are currently doing that work on paper or WhatsApp.

The third case that works is the owner's app: a small, fast view of the numbers that matter, so you can check the business from anywhere without calling three people.

So the first question we ask is not “what should the app do”. It is “who opens this every day, and what were they doing before”. If there is no good answer, we will tell you to build something else.

Apps that work

The app types we see deliver real returns

🚚

Delivery and dispatch app

Route list, proof of delivery with photo and signature, cash collection, and instant status back to the office. Removes the end-of-day reconciliation call.

🛠

Field service app

Job assignment, checklists, parts used, photos before and after, customer sign-off and automatic job closure. Service history stops living in a technician's memory.

💵

Sales and collection app

Order booking at the dealer counter with live stock and correct rates, plus outstanding visibility and receipt entry on the spot.

🏭

Shop-floor app

Job card scanning, production entry, downtime and rejection logging — on a shared tablet at the machine rather than a form filled at the end of the shift.

📱

Owner dashboard app

Today's sales, stock alerts, overdue payments and pending approvals in one screen. Approve a discount from anywhere in ten seconds.

Built for Indian conditions

The things that decide whether an app gets used

These are not nice-to-haves. Each one is a reason we have seen apps abandoned.

  • Works offline. Data entered in a basement godown or on a highway saves locally and syncs later. No lost work.
  • Light on data and battery. Staff will not use an app that eats their personal data pack.
  • Works on cheap Android phones. We test on low-end devices, not just the latest flagship.
  • One-hand operation. Drivers and technicians have one hand occupied. Big targets, few taps.
  • Simple language and icons. Usable by staff who are not comfortable reading English quickly.
  • Fast login. Nobody remembers a complex password. OTP or PIN, not a form.
  • Connected to your real systems. An app that does not write back into your ERP or stock just creates another island.
Process

From idea to app store

Watch the user before designing

We spend time with the people who will actually use it — on the route, on the floor, at the counter. What they do today tells us more than a requirement document.

Clickable prototype on a real phone

You and a few of your staff try the screens on an actual device before development starts. Feedback at this point costs nothing.

Build and pilot with a small group

We release to five or ten users first, in real working conditions, and fix what breaks before the whole team is on it.

Rollout, training and store publishing

We handle Play Store and App Store publishing under your account, train your team, and support the first weeks when real adoption questions appear.

FAQ

Mobile app questions

Do we need separate Android and iOS apps?

Usually not two separate builds. We build with technology that produces both from one codebase, which keeps cost and maintenance down.

For internal staff apps in India, Android alone is often enough, and that is cheaper still. We will look at what your users actually carry.

Should we build an app or a mobile website?

If the user opens it daily and needs the camera, GPS, or offline working — an app. If they use it occasionally and need no device features — a mobile website, every time.

Websites need no install, no updates and no app-store approval. We recommend them more often than clients expect.

How long does app development take?

A focused internal app typically takes eight to fourteen weeks including pilot. Customer-facing apps with payments and accounts take longer because of the extra review and testing.

You will see working screens on a real phone well before the end.

Who publishes the app — you or us?

It goes on your developer accounts, under your business name. We do the technical work of publishing but the ownership is yours, which matters if you ever change development partners.

What about ongoing maintenance?

Apps need periodic updates as Android and iOS release new versions — this is unavoidable for any app. We offer an annual maintenance arrangement covering those updates, bug fixes and store compliance, and we are upfront about that cost during scoping.

Tell us who would use the app every day

If there is a clear daily user, an app is probably worth it. If there is not, we will suggest something cheaper that solves the same problem.
